TRANS4GREEN Project

TRANS4GREEN is an ambitious small-scale project.

The Scenario-based Learning for Green Transversal Skills in Tourism (TRANS4GREEN) aims to incorporate green skills into tourism vocational education and training (VET) in Bulgaria, Turkey and Lithuania, so as to enhance the capacity of the learners and graduates with diverse profiles to benefit from emerging career opportunities presented by sustainable tourism.

The project will enable the partnering VET to raise the quality of their curricula and answer better to the needs of their trainees and tourism businesses. Further, the project will provide added value for education managers and staff of VET and in-company training providers in the field of tourism, trainees in VET for tourism, tourism professionals and workers (incl. from disadvantaged groups), tourism business owners and managers.

TRANS4GEEN considers the needs of the tourism sector, refers to ESCO and provides ways to integrate training content into the current vocational curricula.

TRANS4GREEN is designed to respond to the needs of the regions and countries in which the project partners operate, in particular the need for green skills in tourism, and to provide a solution within VET.

The focus of the project was carefully defined on the basis of the results of a preliminary study, which showed that the link between education and the specificities of the jobs in tourism is often missing.
