TRANS4GREEN Pilot Testing in Kaunas

On 16 September 2025, tourism professionals, educators, and learners gathered in Kaunas to take part in the pilot testing of the TRANS4GREEN Toolbox—an innovative scenario-based learning resource supporting the development of green skills in the tourism sector.

The pilot involved 16 participants, who explored key aspects of sustainable tourism through a combination of:

  • Theoretical learning modules aimed at deepening understanding of sustainable tourism principles

  • Scenario-based learning activities simulating real-life situations and enabling participants to practice green-skill development and decision-making in a safe learning environment

The main objective of the pilot was to test and validate the TRANS4GREEN Toolbox while strengthening ESCO-defined green skills, including responsible consumption, pollution reduction, and biodiversity conservation. The activities also aimed to encourage participants to act as ambassadors for environmentally responsible practices within their professional and learning environments.

This pilot marks another important step toward embedding sustainability into tourism education and practice.
